The Glue Gun Gazette 7/3/25
The latest creative gossip hotter than your high-temp glue gun. The 4th of July food edition.
Nothing says 4th of July like hot dawgs. Am I right? Fun fact I’ve been to Pinks on the west coast and Nathan’s on Coney Island. My conclusion: hot dogs taste the same everywhere. Have I mentioned my obsession with these Hot Dog Crocs from artist Jon Burgerman? I think I’ve waited too long and now they are sold out and I have wiener shoe FOMO. Also feast your eyes on these hot dog bouffants from Seol Zzi and hot dog iron ons from Hot Dang Press.

If the 4th has you feeling fruity - I’ve got a craft for that. I mean you have to drink at least one glass of lemonade and have a slice of watermelon to celebrate. Check these out: Orange Slice Tote, Citrus Sunnies Case, Lemon Coasters and Foil Art for Kids. A few of my favorite fruity things from: Tigersheep Friends, Ruminatons of the Wild, Lemondrop Doo Dad Earrings and Jenny Lemons.
I believe I originally found this video about Wayne Thiebaud from
, which tracks because it’s about “stealing art”. However you can’t celebrate the 4th without thinking about pie. After seeing this photograph I’m kinda dying to make a stained glass pie. I feel like this is something that Marco’s Funhouse would try to recreate.
Ice cream is a must. If you are not going to eat some at least craft some. Might I suggest: Ice Cream Drip Cakes, Sea Shell Ice Cream Ornaments or a Punch Needle Ice Cream Patch.
Last but not least I leave you with these bomb pops I made on the Rachael Ray show. Pssst… they are not the kind of bomb pops you eat but the kind you wash your hands with. I’ve got a DIY Chalk Pop version you can make too!
