If you subscribe to my monthly newsletter you know how much I love a good list. I like my information in small bite sized chunks. This is the Craftcation edition. Not attending, no problem there is still lot’s of fun stuff to read.
Where can you find me at Craftcation? Here are all the workshops I am teaching: Painting Weirdos Workshop, Make and Take Leather Scrap Jewelry, Working With Brands to Grow Your Creative Business Panel, Sip and Stick Yearbook Collage and Up-Cycled Journals.
Oh and did I mention I’m teaching a few non-Craftcation related workshops while I’m in California? We could make fabric covered journals in San Luis Obispo, glue stuff to stuff in Ventura or paint weirdos on bingo cards in Los Angeles. Love to see you!
I’ve interviewed a lot of the fine folks you can find at Craftcation 2025. I plan to interview even more people while I’m there. In the meantime pop in your headphones to listen to the podcast interviews I’ve done with Nicole Stevenson of Craftcation, Amy Tan Cangilla AKA Amy Tangerine and Natalie Keller Pariano of Natterdoodle. I have an interview with Marisa Lynch of New Dress A Day and I saw that Hot Dang Press is a sponsor of Craftcation this year. PLUS did you see the adorable craft trailer tour with Sarah Thompson I did this week? She is coming with me to Craftcation this year so be sure to tell her if you too adore Loretta Lynn and holiday crafts.
Also, I’ve located a few Craftcation attendees with Substacks:
, , - anyone else? Let’s meet up and swap notes.
Did you catch my post earlier this week called The Currency of Creative Community? It is the first in a 4 part series about Craftcation and traveling to teach in general. Look out for these posts in coming weeks…

Making new friends can be hard and if your an introverted person a large conference like Craftcation can be daunting. Lucky for us journalist and author
has compiled a huge list of helpful icebreakers. Sitting next to someone you don’t know from Adam in your underwater basket weaving class - ask them a fun question from the list to break the ice. I was so inspired by this idea that I generated my own list of crafty questions to take with me and ask folks roving reporter style. I’ll combine all the video responses when I return. If you see me at Craftcation ask me about my list!
One of the best parts of Craftcation, and really most large events like these, is the swag! Give me all the free loot because I can never have too many stickers and craft supplies. I’ve worked with and created fun content for several Craftcation sponsors past and present. If you are feeling crafty check out…
Sizzix - Retro Floral Swim Cap, Recycled Cardboard Cupcake Holders and DIY Papel Picado Banner
Clover - Groovy Flower Looms and How to Use Them
Spoonflower - Trick or Treat Yourself Wreath, Quick Sew Project Book and Spring Wreath

Remember if you wanted to share this with a friend that would be awesome.
Did you read The Glue Gun Gazette 4/10/25 or my April newsletter?
I can't wait to live vicariously through your Craftcation escapades! Esp excited about that roving reporter bit (ha! wool roving is even a craft supply). I very much enjoyed your list! I was trying to leave a comment there but alas tech issues. (I'm still learning the Substack ways.)
My questions are:
-Favorite snack whilst creating
-Something craft-related that haunts you (either actually creepy or just like a crafty regret.)
-Do you have a social creative meetups or more prone to solo journeys through CraftyLand.
