I like my artsy/craftsy information in small bite sized chunks. This is the fashion edition, because who does not love a good theme.
As a huge fan of Nooworks I was crushed to hear about the devastating fire they had at their sewing factory last weekend. If you have ever eyeballed one of their items now is the time to place that order as I’m sure they could use the help now more than ever.
The word dopamine is getting thrown around a lot lately but I agree when it is used in conjunction with clothing. How can you look at this Monika Branagan dress for Wolf and Badger and not get a hit of the good stuff. The only thing these dresses are missing are some Jennifer Perkins Art jewelry.
I realize Easter was last month but can we please just take a moment to appreciate all the glue guns that went into the NYC Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival. Take a look at these crazy crafty hats on Hyperallergic, New York Times and New York Post.

While we are on the topic of NYC fashion this week was the MET Gala with the theme Tailored For You which ties into the spring exhibit Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. My favorite looks were from Janelle Monae, Andrew Scott, Lupita Nyongo, Joey King, Henry Golding, Tracee Ellis Ross, Coleman and Raul Domingo, Justice Smith, Shaboozy and it will come as no shock to anyone that Cole Escola stole the show for me. The suit almost looks like it came from Nooworks!
Did you check out the Mod Podge and MuuMuus article? It’s all about what to pack when headed to a craft convention: hint it’s not just an apron and paint brush.
Tattoos for your clothes! It’s a thing and I have an interview with the inventors - Hot Dang Press right here on Substack. You might also like this interview I did with Mondo Guerra from Project Runway.
Leave me a comment with your favorites from the Met Gala, dream Easter bonnet theme or favorite place to shop for dopamine dressing.
